Online shops
You earned those reviews. The marketplace keeps them.
Years of five-star feedback sits on Etsy or Amazon, doing nothing for the store where your margin is. A shopper on your own site has no way of knowing any of it exists.
Where your reviews are now.
The reviews that took years to earn belong to the marketplace, and a shopper on your own store has no way of knowing they exist.
And afterwards
Marketplace reviews on your own product and landing pages, which is the whole argument for buying direct rather than through the platform.
Why it fits Online shops.
The argument for buying direct
A shopper who found you on a marketplace and then landed on your own store is asking one question: is this the same seller. Your marketplace reviews on your own product page answer it in a glance.
Reviews per product, not per shop
Tag reviews by the product they are about and limit each product page's widget to that tag, so a listing shows its own feedback rather than an average of everything you sell.
A grid, because your reviews are uniform
Marketplace reviews are short and similar in length. A tidy grid lines up with the rest of a shop page; masonry's staggered columns only earn their keep when the reviews are uneven.
What it looks like on your site.
The grid layout, drawn by the same renderer that will run on your website. Product reviews tend to be a similar length, and a tidy grid lines up with the rest of a shop page.

Questions from Online shops.
- Why do Etsy and Amazon need a browser extension?
- Their review pages cannot be read from a server the way Google's and TripAdvisor's can. The free ReviewsJet Chrome extension collects them in your own browser, on your own account, while you are signed in — which is a different mechanism, and we would rather say so than pretend it is the same.
- Does it keep syncing like the Google ones do?
- No. Extension sources are collected when you run them, so new marketplace reviews arrive when you next open the extension. The five direct sources refresh on their own.
- Is showing marketplace reviews on my own site allowed?
- You are displaying public reviews of your own business, with the reviewer's name and the platform they were written on shown. That is the same thing every review widget does. We are not lawyers, and if your marketplace agreement says otherwise it governs — but nothing here is hidden or reattributed.
